The Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta is a gathering of artists and guilds representing the Fiber Arts.
The Fiesta will take place October 3-4, 2015 at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, 2040 North Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA. Hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Here’s a link to the AGSEM page with map and directions to find us.
Fiber artists, guilds and vendors will be at the Fiesta showing their work, demonstrating their skills and selling their creations, wearable art and supplies. In addition to supplies, our local fiber artists will be selling their finished work.
Weavers, basket makers, spinners, felters, knitters and gourd artists will find things of interest at this event.
Admission to the event and the Museum are free. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle, which supports the Young Marines who manage the parking.
Keep an eye on our Vendor page to see who is coming.
The alpacas will be with us again this year.
We will have an informal spinning corral, so if you’re a spinner, bring your wheel and hang out with other spinners.
The Fiesta takes place outdoors; most of the booths are on the lawn, which is uneven in places. We suggest you dress appropriately: possibly a hat, shoes suitable for walking.
The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum will be open all weekend, so you can see examples of mechanical ingenuity and crafts associated with the early days of the American farm and rural community. On Saturday, you can also visit the Model Railroad display and the Blacksmith Shop,
The Vista Gem & Mineral Society Show will be taking place at the Museum the same weekend.
The Palomar Chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors will be holding a Mini-Mart in the Farmhouse from 9:00am to 4:00pm both Saturday and Sunday. Come and browse through tables of clocks, parts and memorabilia offered by members of the NAWCC, Palomar Chapter 136. For more information on the Palomar Chapter 136, visit their website.
There will be live music all weekend, playing on the stage. Remember, they are playing for tips, so please show your appreciation!
