The Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta is a gathering of artists and guilds representing the Fiber Arts.

The Fiesta will take place October 13-14, 2012 at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, 2040 North Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA.  Hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Here’s a link to the AGSEM page with map and directions to find us.

Fiber artists, guilds and vendors will be at the Fiesta showing their work, demonstrating their skills and selling their creations and supplies.

Weavers, basket makers, spinners, felters, knitters and gourd artists will find things of interest at this event.

Free admission to the event and the Museum and free parking.

Alpacas on display at the Fiber Arts Fiesta 2011

Alpacas at the 2011 Fiesta

Last year we had 24 vendors; we hope to have as many this year. Take a look at our Vendor page to see who has signed up to come.

We will have an informal spinning corral, so if you’re a spinner, bring your wheel and hang out with other spinners.

We hope to have live alpacas at the fiesta again this year.

The Fiesta takes place outdoors; most of the booths are on the lawn, which is uneven in places. We suggest you dress appropriately: possibly a hat, shoes suitable for walking.

Much as we love dogs, we cannot allow dogs or other pets unless they are service animals.

The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum will be open all weekend, so you can see examples of mechanical ingenuity and crafts associated with the early days of the American farm and rural community. On Saturday, you can also visit the Model Railroad display and the Blacksmith Shop,

The Vista Gem & Mineral Society Show will be taking place at the Museum the same weekend.
